January Favourites

Hi Everyone!

I can't believe its the last day of January! Already? This month flew by so fast I don't even know where it went. I have to say, I enjoyed January. It was my birthday, I was still off college and I also started college after the break a week ago, it's not so bad yet!
How was your January?
Today I decided to share with you a few of the things that I've been loving throughout this month.

Beauty

First I have to mention the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette and the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette. I got these for Christmas and for my birthday and I have been using them ever since. They are both my favourites and I'm sure that I will keep using them in the upcoming months. I did a separate review of these here and here

Another beauty favourite this month was the Maybelline Color Tattoo eyeshadow in the shade Creme de Nude. This is something that I used as an eye shadow primer, basically as a base for other eye shadows. These color tattoos are usually compared to MAC's paint pots, in fact they are great dupes.
Creme de Nude makes my eye shadows stay on a lot longer and even makes them more pigmented as they stick to the creamy, gel like formula of the color tattoo. I definitely need more of these as three that I own isn't enough.

Another fave is the Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lipliner in the shade Cappuccino. It's a brown shade lipliner, more on the darker side than nude. I love these shades, I always go for the nudes or light to medium browns. This lipliner is very creamy and it doesn't dry out my lips which is great!
I definitely have to buy more of these in different shades.

I've been loving the Burts Bees Beeswax Lip Balm. I use this every morning and night and it makes my lips super soft. I really like the scent, its peppermint and when you apply it to your lips it tingles a little, not too much and not for a long time. I like this because I feel like I know that it does something to my lips. I also use this under the lipliner that I mentioned above, it glides on a lot smoother.

I have also enjoyed using the Real Techniques Powder Brush. I use it everyday for applying my powder and I really like it. It's very soft and quite big which is great for powder.

I loved this Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Nail Polish in the colour Echante. It's a gorgeous purple/mauve shade. I love Sally Hansen nail polishes! They stay on for such a long time without chipping!

I liked using the Aussie hair products this month. I mentioned these in my current hair care routine here.

Lastly in the beauty section of my favourites is this Soap&Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash. I love Soap&Glory body products! They all smell amazing and this scent is one of my favourites. It smells very fresh and leaves the scent on my body which is nice.

Fashion

I only have one fashion favourite this month, I loved other fashion pieces throughout the month but I have mentioned them already so I felt like I didn't want to repeat myself.

This isn't a surprise, I have been obsessed with these Topshop Jamie jeans! I need to get more pairs of these because I want to wear them everyday! They are super comfortable and I think I like these better than the Joni jeans.

Random

As for random favourites of this month, I have been obsessed with Pretty Little Liars! Ever since it started back on the 13th of January I have been hooked on it. I wish new episodes came out more than just once a week as its a struggle to wait a whole week for a new episode!

My Pandora rose gold bow ring has been another favourite. I got it for my birthday and I have been wearing it everyday! I was never a huge fan of wearing rings but I absolutely love this one! AND its rose gold so how can I not love it!

Last but not least I have been obsessed with my new dressing table from Ikea. If you follow me on Instagram then you might have seen I posted this photo of it. I got it at the beginning of the month and I love sitting at it every morning! I also love being super organised so I was able to organise my makeup just the way I wanted to. It's definitely one of my favourite places in my room besides my bed.

  1. I have never heard of a Maybelline Color Tattoo before, but It sounds so good! I've wanted an eyeshadow primer for ages, but I've never really know what one to buy!

  2. You're right, January passed so quickly, but I'm so happy that it's already behind us - I just want it to be April and spring time basically :P
I don't know why but I didn't like the Maybelline Color Tattoo, I have the light gold one (can't think of the exact name right now) and the texture was too dry, it was so hard to blend in. Maybe I picked up the wrong product! The Real Techniques brush looks amazing and I like that it's big and must make applying powder super quick and easy. I might get it as I've been looking for a new powder brush for a while :D
