How I Stay Organised with a Busy B Planner

Hi Everyone!

Today I decided to write a post that's a little different but still fits in with being a blogger. It might also help some of you who are struggling with staying organised.
I wanted to share with you a few tips and things that I find help me with staying organised.

First, I know that if you're not an organised person at all I can't magically make you be one, you are going to have to learn that yourself step by step. But if you're someone that likes to have things done on time and you're simply struggling with remembering what needs to be done and when by, then hopefully I can help you in today's post.

I personally LOVE being organised and tidy. It makes me feel a lot better about myself and it's a lot less stressful. I always have to have my room clean, there can't be anything lying around, everything has it's own place and space. Over all, it looks pretty and nice and it makes me happy. I'm pretty sure that if I had to live in a messy room/house I would go crazy! This goes hand in hand with being organised because I'm one of those people that has to work in clean environment otherwise I can't concentrate on the work that needs to be done.

When it comes to being organised with getting work done like my college work, I try my best to do the work that I get on the same or next day of getting it,  I feel like it's better to get it over and done with then putting it away for a few days and thinking constantly that oh I still have that one assignment to do. Plus, the feeling of getting something done before a deadline is amazing! More time to watch YouTube videos right?!

Many people also ask me how I manage to go to college full time, work and have a blog and now a YouTube channel. I have to say it's not as easy as it might seem to be sometimes. Writing blog posts takes at least a day, taking photos for the blog posts takes a good hour if not more, depending on the photos. Filming videos can take a whole day as well and editing - which is not my strongest point just yet, takes a good 4-5 hours (I'm still learning). So how do I do it? I write lists upon lists. These are super helpful! I have three lists lying around right now, of things that I need to do etc. If you don't like to write these on paper, write them in your phone in the notes section. I check these lists everyday, making sure that I have done everything. Lists are basically my best friend! So keeping up with all the work I have to do during a week gets a little easier if I have it written out in front of me, it's almost like dividing the work over days and hours. I would be a stressful person myself if I had to get everything done at the same time, this is why I allow different time and day slots for everything,
I usually film on Saturday's and take photos for upcoming blog posts and my Instagram. I write posts whenever I get the chance but mostly on Saturday evenings or on Sunday mornings. This way I have my post done for Sunday and the upcoming Wednesday. I never leave it for the night before, I think I wouldn't enjoy it as much then because I would think 'Oh I don't have a blog post, let's write something really fast!' I don't want to write fast, I want to take my time and make sure that I like the post that I have written. I do my college work as soon as I get it or within the next day or two, I love doing this, trust me, try it out yourself and you're going to love yourself for getting things done!

Also ticking things off the list that you created before hand is like a reward!
If that's not enough, set yourself goals and little rewards for getting work done, for example tell yourself that if you work on your assignment for half an hour, you get a break to watch your favourite YouTube video (or whatever makes you happy like chocolate maybe!) and then you get back to work, and repeat that again and again until your work is done!

One thing that I think everyone should have and that has helped me a lot so far is a weekly planner like this one that I was lucky enough to receive from Busy B

It's such a handy thing to have, on Sunday evening I usually grab one of these and write what needs to be done each day of the upcoming week. It's also great for remembering things that are happening that day. The planner is very affordable and it has 60 sheets in it which is great because it will last a long time. It also doesn't have specific dates which I like because if I don't use it one week, the sheet doesn't go to waste, I can still use it next week. It also comes with two cute fringe magnets which you can use to stick the sheets with onto your fridge for example. Busy B also has a lot more stationary products on their website and they are all amazing! So if you're looking for planners and cute little things to add to your stationary collection head over to their website www.busyb.co.uk
They also have a 15% off code BB15 on your first purchase from their website!
Who doesn't love cute stationary!?

I'm telling you, you're going to become a happier person if you stay organised, I know I am.

Tip 1: Keep the space around you clean / as clean as possible.
Tip 2: Do your work as soon as you get it, don't leave it for the last minute.
Tip 3: Write lists.
Tip 4: Reward yourself.
Tip 5: Buy a daily / weekly planner which will save your life! (really)
Tip 6: Stop stressing out, be happy!

I hope you enjoyed today's post and that it helped you a little!
Have a great day,

  2. This is a great post! Just like you I love being organised and I love getting things done before deadlines - it's just so satisfying and makes you feel much better than when you do everything at the last minute!
I also plan weekly, but on a random notebook not with a planner. Yours looks like the best thing ever, I should totally get one and I'm gonna look into it!
