My Top 10 Drugstore Lip Products
In today's post I decided to share with you all my top 10 drugstore, affordable lip products.
Here are the swatches of all of these products. They are also in order of the way they are laid out on the table, you can see what they look like compared to each other.
As you can see they are all in the nude, brown and pink category which is what I usually go for.
Also, I feel like some people say 'Oh not another nude lipstick' but hey! You can see that these are all different.
The first one is this Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in the shade 205 Elusive Insaisissable. This is a gorgeous pink shade, great for the summer. I love the formula of this product, it's soo soo creamy and moisturising. I definitely need to pick up some more of these. They have quite a lot of shades available.
This is the Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Lips in the shade Orion Nude. This is a lovely lip crayon that's very glossy. It doesn't stay on the lips for a long time but it's very affordable. I would definitely recommend you try these out.
This is an MUA Lipstick and it's in number 11. This is the cheapest lipstick you're ever going to get your hands on, it's only 1 pound and 1 euro 50 cents. How amazing is that. I'm not sure why I only own one lipstick, I should definitely pick up more next time I'm in Superdrug. The lipsticks are very pigmented and some are even dupes for Mac lipsticks.
Next, is the Rimmel Kate Nude Lipstick in number 45. Rimmel lipsticks are great and when I found out about the nude collection I had to try out one of these. It's not too pigmented but it's a great everyday lipstick or a lipstick that you can carry in your bag and touch up with throughout the day.
The Balm Meet Matt(e) Hughes is the next lippy in the shade Committed. Gorgeous liquid lipstick! It dries matte and it smells like After Eight chocolates which is weird and cool at the same time. It stays on for a really long time and doesn't move from your lips at all.
Topshop Everything Stick in the shade Defiant. A gorgeous little product. These are available in so many different shades and let's say you bought a red one, you can also use it as blush or eyeshadow or anything you want, hence it's called the 'everything' stick. It's very glossy and pigmented. One of my favourites.
NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in 04 Ruffle Trim. I did a whole post on these lipsticks which you can read here. They are amazing! When I swatch them on my hand and let them dry (matte) I can't remove them with a makeup wipe, they just don't come off at all. How amazing is that? Also, I ate a whole dinner with this on and when I was finished, the lipstick looked exactly the same as before eating. A huge plus from me!
Too Faced Melted Liquid Lipstick in the shade Melted Nude. These are lovely! Very soft, also dry to a slightly matte finish. Stay on for a long time and have great colour pay off.
NYX Butter Gloss in the shade 05 Creme Brulee. Can you tell I love NYX lip products? I'm not a huge fan of lip glosses because my hair sticks to them, but this lip gloss is not sticky at all, which is probably why I love it. It's a lovely pink/nude shade and makes any lipstick look great. I definitely need to try more of these out as well as the matte lip creams.
Last but not least, Essence XXXL Long Lasting Lipgloss in the shade Velvet Rose. I got this a while ago, last year in Spain actually and I forgot about it until a few days ago. The product has a different consistency than I have tried before, it's mousse like, very soft and velvety which glades onto your lips. It dries matte and is super affordable, so if you're looking into trying some matte liquid lipsticks and you're on a budget, look into these, there are many shades to choose from.
Anddd that's everything!
Let me know if you have any of these lip products and how they work for you.
Also, let me know which one of these you would like to try out?
