Current Favourite Lip Combos

Hi Everyone!

Recently I have been wearing two lip combinations all of the time and today I wanted to share them with you all.
One lip combination is made up of affordable/drugstore products and the other one is more high end.

If you know me, you know that I only really wear nude and brown lip shades. They always look best on me and I'm always attracted to them when on the look out for new lip products.
So it will not come to a surprise when I say that these lip combos are mainly nude also.

I love both of these lip combinations and they don't take a lot of time to apply and stay on for a long time on my lips. They're both my go to lip options throughout the week.

Combo 1

The first lip combo are these two lovely products. This is the Kiko Velvet Passion Matte Lipstick in the shade 302 and the NYX Butter Gloss in the shade Creme Brulee.
Both products go very well together as well as separately.

The lipstick is very creamy and doesn't dry out the lips at all. It has an amazing scent-vanilla and its very pigmented. It glides onto the lips very easily and it doesn't emphasise the cracks in your lips, which some lipsticks do. Over all, the lipstick comes in a lot of different shades- which I need to get my hands on, and it stays put for a long amount of time. It is a gorgeous matte finish lipstick that still moisturises your lips and gives them a healthy look.

The lipgloss is one of my favourites. I'm not a huge fan of glosses but this one is the one that I usually reach for. It's not sticky and it feels as though you are not wearing a glossy lip- which I love. It looks lovely over the lipstick and it gives my lips that little bit of shine. It doesn't have any glitter in it, its just a smooth, creamy, shiny gloss. I would really recommend you give these a go.

Combo 2

The second combination is something that I love wearing. My favourite Mac Velvet Teddy Lipstick and a new purchase Mac Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in the shade Morning Coffee.
Both also look amazing together as well as separately.

The lipstick has been one of my favourites shades for a really long time now and it's a shade that I will definitely repurchase. This is my go to lippy, I wear it when I'm in a rush to go out and I wear it when I don't necessarily want anything on my lips but I still put this on. It doesn't feel like I'm wearing a lipstick when I have this on and even though it's a matte finish lipstick, it doesn't dry out my lips. It stays on for a really long time without moving, and when it does move, it fades away nicely, without the need to touch up. Over all it's an amazing everyday shade for me and something that I will always use. It has kind of become my signature lip shade.

The lip pencil is gorgeous. This one is in a shade that I always wear. I have also realised that they stay on the lips for a lot longer. When I put a swatch of this on my hand and the normal Mac lip pencil and wipe it off once, the pro longwear lip pencil doesn't move, when the other one comes off straight away. This would definitely be a lip pencil for nights out and for those times when you don't have the time to touch up your makeup throughout the day. Over all it's an amazing bronze shade that goes perfectly with the lipstick. I will definitely have to try out more of the Pro Longwear lip pencils in the future.

What are your favourite lip combinations?

I hope you enjoyed today's post!
Have a great day,

  1. Both of these lip combos look great! I have a preference for the MAC combo, I love the shade and it is quite similar to the combo I tend to wear quite a lot these days: I use the Soar lip pencil from MAC and the Stila liquid lipstick in shade Patina. The result is very similar to yours, with brown undertones but a pretty mauve shade! :)
